Finding your iPhone/iPod Device ID

An easy way is to get your device id is to get Erica Sadun‘s Ad Hoc Helper app (free) which will email your device id to a specified email address.

Another way to find your iPhone/iPod Touch device ID…

  1. Connect your device to your computer (and start iTunes if necessary).
  2. Click on the ‘Serial Number’ field in the iPhone/iPod Touch area (it will change to ‘Identifier (UDID)’).
  3. Click on the Edit->Copy menu item.
  4. Now you can paste the ID into an email or similar.
